Lets put Stargate in the Dictionary.

While searching for the latest episode of Stargate Atlantis to download I noticed that the word Stargate is not in the dictionary.

At least it is not listed in http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/stargate

http://dictionary.reference.com/ is googles dictionary of choice so if it's not listed there it's not really a word.

So I propose that the synchronauts of space ship earth petition the "Experts" at dictionary.com to have the word STARGATE inserted into the dictionary on the grounds of "common usage".

If you agree with this proposal please leave a comment and we will see how much support it has.
I would appeal to all who read this to really give this some thought. We all use the word constantly but according to the verbal gate keepers it doesn't exist. This is something that we can change. For me part of the reason for writing this blog is because I want to try and change things. If you are going to set goals, set achieveable goals.

This is an achievable goal. We can change something here. Imagine the ball we could start rolling if we get STARGATE recognised as a "REAL" word.

So I would like to hear definitions for both physical and metaphysical stargates. The important thing is what does it mean to you. Like LOVE it is just a word, it's what the word means to you that matters.....

I hope like me that you feel it should be included at the very least as a word. Go Raibh Maith Agat...

Cheers m8, ok thats a start...but i dont think the "experts" will be swayed enough in our direction using that defination although it could very well turn out to be the most accurate...
