The BeastBusting MythBusters

The mark of "The Beast"

I am fairly sure most people who read this blog are aware of who the Mythbusters are and what it is they try to do. If you are not aware of them well here is a link to their wiki. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mythbusters

"MythBusters is an American popular science television program on the Discovery Channel starring special effects experts Adam Savage and Jamie Hyneman, who use basic elements of the scientific method to test the validity of various rumors, urban legends and news stories in popular culture."

I was watching the show a few evenings back while eating my dinner. I had just sat down as the episode in question started. They began to look at a supposed myth involving the "VeriChip" which is the first Food and Drug Administration (FDA)-approved human-implantable radio-frequency identification (RFID) microchip. It is marketed by VeriChip Corporation, a subsidiary of Applied Digital Solutions, and it received United States FDA approval in 2004. About twice the length of a grain of rice, the device is typically implanted above the triceps area of an individual’s right arm.

Now i am not interested in the myth but the way in which it was symbolically linked to another section of the same episode. Alex Jones has vehemently opposed this chip comparing it constantly to the warning in revelations about the return of the beast. He equates the Verichip to THE MARK of the BEAST.

Having said that, it is interesting to note the name of the Drag racing car that was used in the next myth they covered. The car just happened to be called "THE BEAST". Now if you are like me i.e "a cynical fucker" you would have to say that this was a deliberate ploy on behalf of the editors of the programme. They have purposefully put these two highly inflammatory concepts beside each other in the show to quite possibly have a laugh at other people expense, who knows. Personally I don't like either of them and only watch the show as I have noticed they like to use certain symbols. Personally I think either one or both of the presenters is a mason but that's beside the point.
The Beast just happens to be the name of this dragster.

This is just another perfect example of "The Beast" constantly popping up in the mass media at the moment.
I will fight to my death before some asshole puts one of those chips in me. They can already locate you using your mobile phone for fuck sake.
